Waterfall Tour Monteverde Costa Rica:

We will start our tour hiking in the forest where you can see tropical birds, monkeys, parrots, butterflies, thousands of different kinds of plants and flowers, and two incredibly huge trees. There is also a Tarzan swing that you can swing from.

You will keep following your guide where the trail will take you to an incredible view where you can see out into the Pacific Ocean and on a clear day you can see the Lake of Nicaragua.

We will arrive at a rustic lodge cabin where we will show and explain how families lived here back in 1951. We then continue our hike through a trail that is slightly inclined to two beautiful waterfalls. We will stay here for a bit and you can enjoy swimming in the waterfalls and taking pictures.

After a great time swimming and taking pictures we will head back to the rustic log cabinet where we will be taken back to base camp on an oxcart.

We will go through the forest and you can sit back and enjoy nature and all it has to offer.

The oxen are very large and beautiful, and are of a race that we have had in Costa Rica as long as 100 years ago.

The oxcarts have an important place in the history of Costa Rica and its economic development. During the 19th century, they were the main transport used to haul the coffee crop and other export goods from the Central Valley to the port at Puntarenas.
