Visit our vegetable organic farm which can be an exhilarating experience for children and adults. We plant organic vegetables on 1 hectare (2.5 acres). We produce from 15 to 20 different organic vegetables and harvest all year round. Our organic production is sold in hotels and restaurants in Monteverde. 

Come and tour with us where a bilingual guide will explain each and every plant that we grow in our organic farm; how long it takes to harvest, its nutrition, and learn about plants that even have medicinal benefits and what they are used to treat. You can participate in the planting and you are encouraged to smell, touch, and taste different organic vegetables. We also explain the fertilizers and organic insecticides that are prepared on our farm.

We will enter a large room that is under a roof and prepare organic fertilizer which is called “vocachi”, and you will see other fertilizers that the California worms produce.

Organic production is the form of agriculture that relies on techniques such as crop rotation, green manure, compost, and biological pest control to maintain soil productivity and control pests on a farm. Organic farming excludes the use of manufactured fertilizers, pesticides, plant growth regulators such as hormones, livestock antibiotics, food additives, and genetically modified organisms.
